ABOUT JUMANA

Jumana Sophia is the embodiment of what she teaches.

She is known not only for what she teaches, but how she lives it.  How she has lived it for over three decades.  She somehow elevates the sacred without ever leaving the ground.

Her students have come to trust that when she calls forth the "deep feminine wisdom stream" she is not speaking to them about something separate from them.  She is articulating - with precision, humor and seasoned sobriety - what already runs through their veins.

Jumana is an uncommon woman who has led a very uncommon life.  Called to the sacred in her late teens, she has become the guide that she needed throughout all the trial and error that would define her entry into womanhood, motherhood, healership, and hardship.  On the land, in her arms, through her words, and through her school she has created one safe haven after the other for all people called to the sacred, the undomesticated, the Real.

Despite her relaxed demeanor, often under-stated energy, and the the occasional lapse into choice expletives, Jumana's long-standing ministry and the enduring trust of her students speaks volumes.  She carries power and she carries a deep and abiding love.  She tends to the deep feminine wisdom stream with the reverence and the spirit of impeccability that it requires.

If she is your priestess, you'll know by the sound of her voice and more importantly, the presence behind her voice.
